In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Asheville; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in North Carolina are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 11 am–10 pm. Asheville is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Asheville follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

We visited for lunch. My partner had the chow mei fun and I had the general tso's chicken. Both were phenomenal! I will be back for more of both entrees. Our waitress was patient, kind, and thoughtful. Looking forward to next time.

As a frequent customer of Pacific Pagoda, I can confidently say this place is the best Asian restaurant in the area. Every time I visit, the food is consistently incredible, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the quality never disappoints. You can really tell the care and skill that goes into everything they serve. Asheville has plenty of dining options, but Pacific Pagoda stands out above the rest, if you’re looking for authentic, flavorful Asian cuisine, this is the place to go. I’ve been coming here for a long time and it continues to be one of my absolute favorite restaurants.

I visited this restaurant today. I have been many times in the past and every time I came in during lunch I asked for a dinner menu, and ordered from it. I have never been at dinner time. What I have ordered at lunch was the Stuffed Shrimp, and Drunken Fisherman. Usually it is an older Asian lady that takes our order and is always friendly. Today I came in at 2:30 pm, later than usual. I was told by a younger female server that we couldn’t order off of that menu. She already had a short attitude with us. We had ordered our drinks, but when told the dinner menu couldn’t be ordered from, when there is only a 30 minute difference between lunch and dinner, and there were only 3 tables in the whole place, it is ridiculous. Small businesses, wanting you to eat local, and in need of business, you think would be happy you are coming in to spend what would have been a $70 meal with our appetizer. We offered to pay for beverages we didn’t drink and leave. They accepted the payment with zero desire to accommodate. Very disappointing. On the bright side we went to Chen Garden where the food was absolutely fantastic, and much cleaner, and kinder than Pacific Pagoda. So I will share my delici

I don’t write many negative reviews, but I have to say that I was very disappointed in this place after reading all the great reviews. I was craving calamari but unfortunately, it was so chewy I could barely eat it. And also, as you can see from the picture just looks like frozen onion rings . The dumplings taste like they were out of the bag, something that you could buy at any grocery store and make it home . I’m not sure if that’s true. That’s just how they tasted to me. The sushi was mediocre at best. I did find the lychee martini to be quite delicious. The waitress was awesome so no problems with the service. Perhaps they don’t get enough people to get in fresh ingredients. I’m not really sure. But spending $100 of my hard earned money for a mediocre meal was not something I was expecting to do. So unfortunately, I will not be returning to this establishment anytime soon or ever.

Stopped here during our brief visit to Asheville, seeking a great Sushi restaurant. Pleasantly surprised as soon as we entered, as this restaurant had a great ambience with tables, little well decorated booths, and a bar area. Was a nice quiet atmosphere, 5 stars. Excellent 5 star service, as we were quickly waited on and not pressured to order quickly. Our server attended to our needs throughout the dinner. It's been awhile since we had “chinese“ and wanted some, despite the fact that they offered excellent Japanese entrees, sushi rolls/meals, and a variety of sakeI For drinks, I opted for the Godzilla drink- vodka, gin, etc. as I was in that kind of a mood. I liked it, but quickly disposed of the straw/decoration. My wife had her usual Chateau St Michelle reisling, and she received a generous pour. I ordered the General Tsao with wonton soup, eggroll, and fried rice, my wife had Chicken and mixed vegetables. Both entrees tasted great, 5 stars. I appreciated my plate had the rice in a seperate bowl, and that my broccoli was not overcooked, fresh, and was kept off to the side. Portion sizes were large. We had great overall dining experience. This entire meal, 2 drinks, 2 entrees
